Increasingly over the past several years we have been asked to apply our retail design expertise to “non-retailers” or non stores: professional practices, manufacturers, institutions, associations, developers, even governments. Traditionally Interior Design firms have specialized in residential, institutional, office, hospitality and retail. The puzzle is why, as retail experts, are we being sought out to design non-retailers?

Sparks Expands Custom Retail Team
Ingrid Linton and Todd Pekrul Join Sparks Custom Retail's Business Development Team

March 1, 2010 (Philadelphia, PA): Global custom retail fixture company, Sparks, announced today that it has further built upon its custom retail specialty team. Sparks' commitment to continually enhance and expand its offering and services to clients was the driving factor behind these additions.

Joining the team are Ingrid Linton and Todd Pekrul, two veterans of the retail store fixture industry, adding several years of diverse and valuable experience to an already impressive pool of talent at Sparks.

Ingrid brings 16 years of diversified store fixture experience to the Sparks Retail team. Her previous positions include work at Russell William Ltd and idX Corporation, where she has had opportunity to work with the "who's who" of retail in vendor, POP, specialty, department store and big box retailers.

Ingrid believes in being a total-solution provider to her clients. As a Vice President of Business Development for Sparks Custom Retail, she offers a one-stop-shop solution that today's sophisticated customers seek when developing long-term relationships.

With his background in retail and display experience spanning over 19 years, Todd brings extensive knowledge of business development to the Sparks Custom Retail team. He began working in the retail industry in 1990 at Streater Industries and was responsible for a substantial increase in growth of both their retail and display businesses. Following his time there, in 1996, Todd started a successful manufacturing representative firm, North River Display Company, where he worked extensively with a diversified retail and brand client base.

As a Vice President of Business Development for Sparks Custom Retail, Todd will implement the skills and relationships he has cultivated over the years to develop strong strategic alliances with a broad spectrum of prospects and clients to support the continued growth of Sparks Custom Retail.

"Sparks is extremely excited to be able to bring store fixture industry veterans such as Ingrid and Todd into the Sparks family. Both employees represent the commitment that Sparks has to servicing its clients with strategic and creative thinkers who have a history of being difference makers," says Matt Wood, President, Sparks Custom Retail.
