Companies Mentioned in this Press Release:Business Categories Mentioned in this Press Release: October 22, 2009 (Philadelphia, PA): Global event marketing and custom retail fixture agency Sparks announced today that it has further expanded its overseas operations by opening a second office in China. Testimony to Sparks’ long-term commitment to continually expand its international offering, adding Beijing brings its global presence to nine locations serving 300 corporations in over 59 countries worldwide.
Offering local leadership and expertise in Shanghai, and now Beijing, allows Sparks to provide Chinese companies better access and understanding of experiential marketing in the US, as well as assist multinational companies in expanding their presence on Chinese soil. The overall goal of this office, much like that of the larger organization, is to deliver compelling creative marketing solutions that build brand and customer preference across all marketing channels – exhibit, event, environment, retail and related platforms.
Leading the Beijing effort are Daniel Shao and Ye Rong (Daisy Ye), who have joined the Sparks team in newly created leadership roles of Managing Director, China and Vice President, China Business Development, respectively. Daniel Shao has over 25 years of business experience in positions of engineering, business consulting and project management. He holds an MBA from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Management as well dual bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (B.S.) from Rutgers College of Engineering and Economics (B.A.), also from Rutgers University. Re Yong (Daisy Ye) has nearly 20 years experience in sales and marketing, human resources and business consulting. She holds an MBA from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in International Trade from the Beijing Finance & Trade College (now the Capital University of Economics and Trade).
“This expansion of our China commitment is strategically important to Spark’s continuous growth in the international marketplace,” says Scott Tarte, CEO of Sparks. “Not only does adding Beijing increase our overall geographic presence, it more importantly enhances our already significant knowledge and resource platform, critical to the success of our multinational partners’ marketing plans. The continuous growth of China, coupled with the increasing activity of Asian-based companies at US exhibitions and events, makes the China market a priority for our company.” The Beijing location brings the number of Sparks’ executive level managers in China to fifteen and adds another five employees to its Chinese operations. Sparks prides itself on its existing global presence and aspires to continue expansion beyond its current nine international locations.
